WMC come back out to play!

Writer's picture: CazCaz

FIRST WMC weekend meet of over 6 people since COVID began!! Fun and games in Devon May 2021.

What a year it's been - the official meets calendar cancelled from March 2020, but as soon as we were allowed "a gathering" of up to 30 people, there was no stopping us.

As always the Hartland campsite made every effort to welcome and look after us. We had our own field and a specially delivered port-a-loo - even if only to separate our rabble from the rest of the campsite.

The multi-generational crowd found plenty to do in the Devon sunshine............

Climbing, beach days, cycling, campsite rounders, coastal path walking, kayaking, paddle-boarding and even land kite buggying!

Fish and chips, cream teas and barbeques also played their part in the festivities.

Lundy Island framed by a windswept tree

The dramatic Culm coast framed by blue skies and sea thrift

Fantastic weather for "life under canvas" for the young, old and even canine........

Of course there were evenings talking rubbish around the fire pit

Then venturing down the river Torridge following the Tarka trail to the sea at Instow

Arriving just as the tide turned which made it a tad trickier

Then having a go at land kite buggying at Westward Ho!

Incredible fun but a truly arduous full body workout!

But then to put those "taut abs" into action on rock again

Wow - we're definitely back having fun in the wild, wonderful outdoors again!!
